For 15 years Lefty O'Doul was the much beloved manager of the San Francisco Seals

A San Franciscan, a Seal, a Giant, a bridge, a gate, baseball’s goodwill ambassador to Japan and an Irishman – who else could we celebrate on St. Patrick’s Day except Lefty O’Doul?

Lefty lived on a street behind my home. I meet him on a flight to NY, he was going there for a Old timers game. He is a graces and wonderful person. He even invited me to the game. Baseball needs more people like him around now.
