Scottsdale, Ariz. – The Giants lost their final spring home Cactus League game today falling 10-2 to the Cincinnati Reds. San Francisco was out-hit 18-5 in the contest. 2B Joaquin Arias (.286) provided SF’s only runs with a 2-run home run in the 7th inning. LF Melky Cabrera (.333) went 1-for-3 and C Hector Sanchez (.410) went 1-for-2. RHP Guillermo Mota (2.79 ERA) started and tossed 2.0-scoreless innings with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts. LHP Jeremy Affeldt (4.09) suffered the loss after being touched for 4 runs (2er) on 5 hits in the 3rd inning.
