Maryvale, Ariz. – The Giants dropped their final Cactus League game to the Brewers today, losing 7-4 at Maryvale Stadium. RHP Tim Lincecum started and logged 4.2 innings while allowing 6 runs on 8 hits with 4 strikeouts and was touched for the loss. SS Brandon Crawford hit a 3-run home run in the 2nd inning and Lincecum drove in the only other run with a single in the 4th, one of two hits on the day for the Giants’ hurler. LF Aubrey Huff (.304) and RF Nate Schierholtz (.220) both went 2-for-4. RHP Brett Bochy tossed a scoreless 7th inning with 2 strikeouts and RHP Dan Otero finished the Cactus League with a 0.82 ERA after logging a scoreless 8th.

Tomorrow the Giants will play the first of three exhibition games against the Oakland A’s with a 7:35 p.m. start at AT&T Park. LHP Madison Bumgarner will take the hill against RHP Graham Godfrey.
