Alternate Road Uniforms
We debuted our new Alternate Road Uniforms today which harken back to the Will Clark era with the SF and black piping.
Buster Posey went 2 for 4 with a home run and scored 2 runs in today's game.
The Will Clark look is back with the Giants' new Alternate Road Jersey.
Manny Burriss had an RBI in his first start of 2012.
Matt Cain pitched 6 innings and received a no decision in today's game.
The Giants homegrown infield took the field in the first inning.

TODAY’S GAME…The San Francisco Giants visit the Arizona Diamondbacks in the final game of this 3-game series…Giants’ right-hander Matt Cain (12-11, 2.88 in ‘11) will face Diamondbacks’ right-hander Josh Collmenter (10-10, 3.38 in ‘11).
VS. ARIZONA... Matt Cain will be making his 24th career start against Arizona...has gone 10-5 with a 3.46 ERA (58er, 151.0ip) in 23 outings, including pair of complete games.
PILL’S PINCH HR...IF/OF Brett Pill hit his 1st career pinch-hit home run yesterday in his 1st plate appearance of the season...last year, Pill also homered in his 1st plate appearance, becoming just the 3rd Giant to do so in his 1st plate appearance in the big leauges... he’s now the 1st and only San Francisco Giant to homer in his 1st plate appearance in back-to-back seasons (Elias).
BUSTER POSEY...Athough he’s spent each of the past 3 years in the big leagues, has yet to play a full season in the Majors...owns career avg. of .295 (174-for-589) with 22 HRs and 88 RBI in 161 ML games... Was back playing this spring after having not appeared in a baseball game for 288 days...made his 1st Cactus League start on March 9 vs. Cincinnati, catching 2.0 innings...
PABLO SANDOVAL... 25-year-old is on his 4th career Opening Day Roster... Homered and drove in 2 runs yesterday and is 4-for-8 with HR, 3 RBI to begin 2012... His cumulative .308 batting avg. since his debut in 2008 ranks as the 4th-best among NL players behind Joey Votto (.320), Ryan Braun (.312) and Carlos Gonzalez (.310)...Has brought much needed power to the Giants’ lineup, hitting 20+ HRs in 2 of his last 3 seasons while driving in 60+ runs in each of his last 3 campaigns.
DAN OTERO... 27-year-old made his Major League debut yesterday, tossing 2.0 innings, allowing 1 run... Marks 1st time on an Opening Day roster... Had perhaps the best spring of any Giants reliever, earning 3 saves while fashioning a 0.82 ERA (1er, 11.0ip) in 10 games.
