Let’s hope Zito can hold this all year
Aside from Buster’s first game back, I can’t remember the last regular season game that made me this completely happy. And I’m happy for the win and for team and the fans…but mostly I’m happy for Barry. It was a spectacular thing to see.
Z pitched such a great game, his had his fair share of critiscism since coming to us but I’m so happy for him knowing how hard he has worked to come back from all of his injuries
Hooray for Money Bags!
I’m happy for Z! Hope this signals a good season for him.
way to go Z!
So Happy for Barry! Keep it up!! And great job by Sanchez as well! Excited to see more of them!! Go Giants!!
All Giants fans, whether or not they have criticized Z, desperately want him to do good. Not just because of the ridiculous paycheck but also when the dude pitched goood and it was something to watch. He was 100% finesse. It is an extreme if, but if he pitched this year like he used to then we would have without question the best pitching in the entire majors.
Yep–no matter how much people might complain about Zito, I think everyone wants to see him succeed..I hope this starts a long stretch of quality games for Barry!
Congratulations to Barry Zito. That was a poetic game you pitched yesterday. Thank you for working so hard to get to the point of creating such a masterpiece. I have no doubt that you will continue pitching very well this year. For what it’s worth, I knew you’d be back to your old zen self on the mound sooner or later. After so much adversity, you have arrived. I can’t wait ’till your next start. Just keep doing what you’re doing.
I may have WAVERED but I never gave up on ZITO. When the A’s had their BIG THREE (Hudson, Muller, & ZITO), I always thought Barry was the best. I HOPE this is the year we get the CYOUNG ZITO. =)
Don’t go betting the farm just yet! Zito has typically been very good at the first of the year and then the fade! I want to see him succeed as much as the next guy and I try to be as understanding as possible, but the jury is still out and this is only his first start of the year. Let’s see what his record is like come the all star break and then IMHO we will see if this is a fluke!!
