Accentuate the Positive
For the second time in his career, Nate Schierholtz had a multi-home run game.
Despite the final score there were many positive moments from tonight’s game – like the 4th inning where the Giants scored 7 runs in one inning for the first time since an 8-run inning last September (which also happened at Coors Field).
Brandon Crawford hit his first home run of the year and the 4th of his career.
Melky Cabrera and Pablo Sandoval both scored on a single from Hector Sanchez.
Gregor Blanco scored on a sacrifice fly from Nate Schierholtz.
And Hector Sanchez tagged out Todd Helton at the plate in the bottom of the inning.
If only games were 3 1/2 innings.
