TONIGHT’S GAME…The San Francisco Giants host the San Diego Padres in the 1st game of this 3-game series…Giants’ right-hander Eric Hacker (0-0, -.–) will face Padres’ left-hander Cory Luebke (2-1, 2.52).

SANDOVAL STREAKING... Pablo Sandoval’s streak is the longest active streak in the Majors this season...his longest hit streak of his career is 22 games, accomplished last season from June 19-July 30...his current streak of 19 games ranks as the 11th-longest hit streak in SF-era history...Jack Clark owns the longest such streak at 26 games in 1978.

ADD ANOTHER HIT FOR PABLO...MLB has made a scoring change to the 1st game of the doubleheader on April 23: Top of the 3rd inning, 2 outs, bases empty...Pablo Sandoval hit a ground ball to 1st base that was originally a fielding error by Ike Davis...that has been changed to a base hit.

RARE WIN...OF Angel Pagan’s 3-run HR yesterday in the 9th inning in Cincinnati turned a 5-3 deficit into a 6-5 lead and win for the Giants...the Giants won just 3 games in 68 tries last season when trailing after 8.0 innings... Pagan owns both of SF’s home runs vs. left-handed pitchers.

MAKING HIS GIANTS DEBUT...RHP Eric Hacker will be making his Giants debut tonight along with making his 1st career Major League start...he made a combined 5 relief appearances for Pittsburgh and Minnesota over the last 3 seasons...Hacker won all 4 of his starts with triple-A Fresno this season, while posting a 2.19 ERA.

TODAY’S TRANSACTIONS...Prior to tonight’s game the Giants have purchased the con- tract of RHP Eric Hacker (#51) from triple-A Fresno and have optioned RHP Dan Otero to triple-A...to make room for Hacker on the 40-man roster, the Giants have transferred RHP Brian Wilson, who recently underwent Tommy John surgery, to the 60-day DL.

#1 - Pablo Sandoval's hitting streak began on April 6 in when he singled in Arizona during the seventh inning.
Pablo Sandoval has managed to do what Hall of Famers Mel Ott, Bill Terry, Willie Mays and Willie McCovey never did – with his 19-game hit streak he now has the franchise record (since 1900) for the Giants longest hit streak to begin a season.

#5 - Pablo leads off second base after doubling in the third inning to continue his hitting streak in Colorado on April 11.

#10 - Pablo hits a single off Philadelphia's Roy Halladay during the fifth inning on Monday, April 16.

#15 - In the first game of a doubleheader Pablo singled a line drive to the Met's Lucas Duda on April 23.

#19 - In the top of the fourth inning on April 26, Pablo singled on a line drive to left fielder Chris Heisey.
