Perfect!!!

HOP ON THE CAIN TRAIN…RHP Matt Cain threw the Giants’ 1st perfect game in 130 years as a club…it was the 22nd perfect game in MLB history and only Sandy Koufax can match his 14 strikeouts…SF’s 10 runs of support of Cain are the most ever in a perfecto…tonight was the 2nd-longest pefect game at 2:36, as David Wells threw his in 2:40 on May 17, 1998.

MORE PERFECT GAME INFO…Cain joined Johan Santana & the Mariners this month in throwing a no-hitter… the last month that saw as many as 3 no-hitters was June 1990 with 4…the only MLB seasons that have featured two perfect games in them are 1880 and 2010…Ted Barrett was also the home plate umpire for David Cone’s perfecto on July 18, 1999.

That Amy G/Cain/Pablo pic is priceless!!! For once Pablo didn’t strike with the shaving cream! I think someone told him NO NO NO! He needs to look pretty for the cameras and interviews! Great clubhouse snaps. Thank you for always giving us these candid insights of the team and fans. Giants social media team is simply the best!
