ASG – Work Out & Home Run Derby
The excitement continues to build to the All Star Game tomorrow. This afternoon the American and National League Teams worked out in the afternoon, then watched Price Fielder win his second Home Run Derby in 4 years.

The day before the All-Star Game the press has a chance to speak with the managers and players during the press conference/media availability sessions. With Matt Cain, Buster Posey, Melky Cabrera and Pablo Sandoval all starting the game, the national media had a great chance to get to know the Giants players.

ASG – Futures Game
The Sunday before the All Star Game the best of the best in the Minor Leagues get to show their stuff in the Futures Game. The year Tommy Joseph, a catcher with the Richmond Flying Squirrels, represented the Giants while playing for the U.S. Futures team. Joseph had a great game, drawing a walk and later scoring in the 3rd inning and then hitting a double in the bottom of the 4th. World Futures 5 – U.S. Futures 17
