The Best Fans In Baseball

The Giants broadcast team of Duane Kuiper, Mike Krukow, Alma Lynch (Stage Manager), Jon Miller and Dave Flemming surround Giants alumni, and current Padres TV crew, Mark Grant and Mark Sweeney (with Padres play-by-play man, Dick Enberg to their right) in the broadcast booths.
Encouraging the Giants players to do their best is something Giants fans do on a daily basis. From holding their signs high to wearing Panda hats on a warm day we know we have the best fans in baseball!

Happy Birthday – Santiago Casilla
Here are some Giants Gems for Santiago Casilla’s birthday from the 2012 Giants Media Guide – Happy Birthday Santiago!
- Santiago’s first gloves were homemade: thick cardboard into which he cut three holes for his ring, middle and index fingers. He received his first real glove in a community giveaway by late Giants shortstop Jose Uribe.
- He is the seventh of 12 children to subsistence farmers. His younger brother Jose is a right- handed relief pitcher in the Giants farm system.
- Santiago is married and has a 2-year-old daughter and an infant son.
- From the same Dominican town as former Giants’ infielder Juan Uribe, who reached the pros three years before Santiago. Santiago remembers going to Uribe’s house as a child and asking him for baseball socks.
