RACE FOR THE NL BATTING TITLE…C Buster Posey leads the NL with a .337 batting avg. while the Pirates’ Andrew McCutchen is 2nd with a .329 mark…the last Giants player to win the NL batting title was Barry Bonds in 2004 (.370)…a Giants player has won the NL batting crown just 7 times since 1876 and just twice since the team moved West in 1958.

ROAD SERIES WINS…The Giants haven’t lost a series on the road since dropping 2 of 3 games at Pittsburgh right before the All-Star break from July 6-8…since then, the Giants have gone 9-0-1 (win-lost-split) in their last 10 road series…it’s the 1st time for SF to go 10-or-more consecutive road series without a loss since July 16-Sept. 8, 1968 (6-0-4).

- Has performed with musical greats such as Jimmy Buffet, Willie Nelson, Jackson Browne, Bruce Hornsby, Judy Collins, Linda Ronstadt and many others. Sang the National Anthem before a Giants game on August 10, 2011, with Phil Lesh and Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead.
- Served as television features reporter for San Diego’s CBS affiliate from 1990-92.
