TODAY’S GAME…The San Francisco Giants host the Colorado Rockies in the final game of this 4-game series…Giants’ left-hander Barry Zito (12-8, 4.21) will face Rockies’ left-hander Jorge De La Rosa (2012 debut).
BYE BYE…IF Pablo Sandoval’s 3-run home run in the 1st inning last night ended his drought of having not homered in his previous 161 at-bats, the 2nd-longest home run drought of his Major League career…Sandoval went 178 at-bats without a homer in 2010.

ANOTHER WIN FOR CAIN…RHP Matt Cain earned his 15th win of the season last night, establishing a new career-high for wins in a season…he also improved his career record vs. the Rockies to 15-7…only two pitchers have more career wins vs. COL than Cain: Randy Johnson and Greg Maddux (Elias).
ON THE MOUND…The Giants have won each of LHP Barry Zito’s last 8 starts, while the left-hander has gone 4-0 with a 4.06 ERA (20er, 44.1ip) during that span… Zito’s 12 wins this year are the most he’s ever had in a Giants uniform and the most since he had 16 victories for the Oakland A’s in 2006.
INSIDE THE SERIES…The Giants have the chance for a 4-game sweep of the Rockies today…the last time SF swept the Rockies in a 4-game set was last season at Coors from Sept. 15-18…the last time they swept them in a 4-game set at home was July 17-20, 2003.
