50 years ago the Giants were playing a legendary World Series against the NY Yankees. It took 7 games and a near home run by Willie McCovey but the Giants lost. I was 10 years old then and a voracious Giants fan living in NY. Although I was born when the Giants beat Cleveland in 54 I was only 2 and have no memory of that series, but, the 1962 World Series still shines in my memory. I waited from 1962 until 2010 to see the Giants win a World Series. They look great this year and are playing beyond all expectation. Thanks for the revenge 48 & 50 years later.

Among those playing for the Yankees;
Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Clete Boyer, Yogi Berra, Tony Kubeck, Whitey Ford, Moose Skowron, Bobby Richardson and Ralph Houk Mgr.

Among those playing for the SF Giants;
Willie Mays, Willie McCovey, Orlando Cepeda, Juan Marichal, Don Larsen, Felipe Alou and Alvin Dark Mgr

Thanks for posting all the pics – what a great game, love this team! They are so fun to watch, whether it’s on the field or in the dugout. =)
