2012 POSTSEASON HIGHLIGHTS
- Started all 16 games at shortstop and batted .217 (10-for-46) with seven RBI in his first career post season, helping the Giants win their second World Series championship in San Francisco history.
- At 25 years old he became the fifth-youngest Giants player to start at shortstop in a postseason game since Matt Williams in 1989 (23 years old).
GIANTS GEMS
- Is one of six players in Major League history to hit a grand slam in his firs big league game
- Lived in Menlo Park until the age of seven, then moved to Pleasanton.
- Grew up a Giants fan because his father was a Giants fan and season-ticket holder at Candlestick (seats on the third-base side).
- His favorite player was Royce Clayton because he played shortstop. Also liked Will Clark, Barry Bonds and Kirt Manwaring. But his favorite player was Alex Rodriguez.
