TODAY’S ROSTER MOVES…Prior to tonight’s game the Giants have optioned RHP Jean Machi to triple-A Fresno and have reinstated RHP Ryan Vogelsong from the 60-day disabled list…Vogelsong missed the last 68 games with a fractured right hand.

YESTERDAY’S GEM…RHP Tim Lincecum recorded his first win yesterday since his no-hitter in San Diego on July 13…since Johnny Vander Meer tossed consecutive no-hitters in 1938, Lincecum became the first Major League pitcher to allow only one hit and pitch more than 6.0 innings in his first win after he threw a no-hitter (Elias).

SANTIAGO CASILLA… Has tossed 14.2-consecutive scoreless innings over his past 15 appearances, which is the fourth-longest active scoreless streak in the National League.
