INSIDE THE SERIES… The Giants and Red Sox face one another for the €first time since 2010, when SF dropped 2 of 3 games here at AT&T Park…this marks just the fourth series these two teams will have played against one another, as the Giants are 3-6 all-time against the Sox.

THIS DATE IN GIANTS HISTORY… August 19, 1957 – The Giants’ Board of Directors voted 8-1 to move the club to San Francisco for the 1958 season…SF offered the Giants a deal that was calculated to yield annual pro€ ts of $200-300,000…this was based upon construction of a new stadium seating nearly 50,000 and providing parking facilities for 12,000 cars, favorable concession terms, exclusive occupancy and liberal rental agreements.
