RECOVERING FROM A ROCKY START… Last night, RHP Matt Cain allowed four runs over the first 3.0 innings, but recovered to throw 7.0 frames and earn a 6-4 win for the Giants over the Marlins…Only one other San Francisco pitcher in the last 40 seasons has thrown more than 7.0 innings in a win after allowing at least four runs by the end of the 3rd…That was also Cain, who went 8.0 innings in a 9-4 win at Kansas City on June 20, 2008 (Elias).
