ANDREW SUSAC… Has started three games for SF since having his contract purchased from triple-A Fresno on July 26 (H. Sanchez concussion).

MR. CLUTCH… Last night marked IF Pablo Sandoval’s third-straight game with three RBIs, the longest such streak in the Majors this season and the longest by a Giants player since Jeff Kent knocked in at least three runs in three-consecutive games from June 27-29, 2002 (Elias).

TODAY’S GIANTS TRANSACTIONS… Prior to today’s game the Giants activated OF Angel Pagan (back inflammation) from the 15-day disabled list… Pagan missed 44 games while on the D.L., with the Giants going 18-26 during this stretch.

THE GIANTS… Have won five of their last seven games after dropping a season-high six-straight games on their last homestand… they currently are tied with Milwaukee for the third highest winning percentage in the National League behind Los Angeles-NL (65-50, .565) and Washington (61-51, .545).
