ON SHORES OF McCOVEY COVE… SF is 36-33 (.522) at home this season, having won eight of their last 11 games…SF won 22 of their first 31 (.710) home games this year, however have gone just 14-24 (.368) in their last 38 contests.
ABOUT LAST NIGHT… The Giants offense scored 13 runs, which were the most they have scored in a game here at AT&T Park since Aug. 24, 2010 vs. Cincinnati (16 runs)…their 19 hits were the second most the club has recorded in the history of AT&T Park (most: 20 on Aug. 14, 2001).
HUNTER’S HIT STREAK REACHES 10 – AGAIN… OF Hunter Pence has hit safely in 11 consecutive games, the longest active streak in the NL and second-longest in the Majors, behind LAA’s Erick Aybar (14 games)…Pence and the Mets’ David Wright are the only players with four separate double digit hit streaks this season.
