TURN BACK THE CLOCK… The Giants and Cubs wore replica uniforms from 1912 today… Some elements from today’s turn back the century game include:
• The scoreboard had a vintage look and videos were not shown.
• There was a roving barber shop quartets outside the gates.
• Giants photographers, ushers, security guards, grounds keepers and other staff wore 1912 era garb.
• Only organ music was played the entire game.

Rookie Season Ticketholder Party
From Triples Alley, guests are able to watch batting practice from a section of the warning track.
Yesterday, the Giants invited “Rookie” Season Ticketholders to a pregame party to warm up for the season. Held at Triples Alley, the guests enjoyed food, drinks and entertainment before the Giants took on the A’s.
Play Ball Lunch

The Giants attended the annual Play Ball Lunch today, a fundraiser for the Giants Community Fund presented by Blue Shield of California. Guests had the opportunity to get autographs from players during a reception, then have lunch with the team. Each player dined with a Jr. Giant and watched a presentation, which included a question and answer session with players MC-ed by Jeremy Affeldt.
Together We’re Giant- Grounds Crew
The grounds crew build the mound for the visiting team’s bullpen.
Since the last Giants game of 2011 the field at AT&T Park has been used to host Cal football, the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl, soccer and a variety of private events. Now that baseball is on its way back, the grounds crew is busy restoring the baseball diamond.
Together We’re Giant-Art in the City
The excitement for the upcoming baseball season can be felt throughout the community, including the San Francisco art scene. On March 24, the George Krevsky Gallery opened their 15th annual Art of Baseball Exhibition, including many pieces that feature the San Francisco Giants.
Media Open House
David Cush, President and CEO of Virgin America shows off “Fly Bye Baby” the new Virgin America plan which features a beard and Giants logo.
Today the Giants hosted a Media Open House to update members of the press on what’s been going on around AT&T Park. They were presented with new sponsorship and promotions, toured the new areas of the ballpark and were able to sample new food items that will be available in 2012.
