A FRANCHISE FIRST… All 12 of the Giants’ runs on Wednesday scored on home runs, marking the first time in franchise history (since 1883) that the club scored as many as 12 runs in a game all coming by way of the home run…the previous high was 10 runs on April 18, 1947 against the Dodgers…prior to the Giants doing it, the last team to score 12+ runs with all runs coming on homers was the Baltimore Orioles on Sept. 26, 2012 vs. Toronto (12 runs)…thanks to Matt Oliver at STATS, LLC for his assistance with this note.
