AT THE HELM… Bochy is in his seventh postseason stint as a big league manager, his third in eight seasons with SF…he’s 38-28 (.576) all-time in postseason play, including a 30-12 (.714) record with SF…he’s 9-6 all-time in the World Series…the Giants have never lost a postseason series in Bochy’s tenure…Bochy has won nine straight postseason rounds since 2010, the second-longest streak ever by a manager, trailing only Joe Torre’s 11 straight with the Yankees from 1998-2001.

BUSTER POSEY… His 19 postseason RBI are the second-highest total in franchise history, trailing only Barry Bonds (21 career postseason RBI).

PABLO’S POSTSEASON ON-BASE STREAK REACHES 25… IF Pablo Sandoval has reached base safely in 25-straight postseason games (dating back to Game Four of the NLDS on Oct. 10, 2012), the longest streak in Giants franchise history and tied with Boog Powell (1966-71) for the third-longest in MLB postseason history…Miguel Cabrera (31, 2011-13) and Chase Utley (27, 2007-09) are the only two players in postseason history to have a longer streak of reaching base.

HUDSON ON THE HILL… RHP Tim Hudson won 214 regular season games in his career…according to the Elias Sports Bureau, he’ll be the sixth-winningest pitcher in MLB history before making his first World Series start…among pitchers who played their entire careers in the Live Ball Era (since 1920), only Jamie Moyer won more regular season games before starting his first World Series game.
