TODAY’S GAME…The San Francisco Giants visit the Chicago Cubs in the final game of this 3-game series…Giants’ right-hander Matt Cain (13-5, 2.82) will face Cubs’ left-hander Travis Wood (4-11, 4.71).

THE GIANTS…defeated the Cubs 5-2 yesterday to improve to 4-1 on this 6-game road trip to Houston (3-0) and Chicago (1-1)… Are 17 games over .500, matching their season-high water mark… Enter today’s game with a season-high 4.5 game lead over the Dodgers in the NL West.
