TONIGHT’S GAME…The San Francisco Giants host the Los Angeles Dodgers in the final
game of this three game series…this series is the start of a 10 game homestand for the
Giants (longest of the season), that also features the Phillies (May 6-8) and Braves (May
9-12)…LHP Hyun-Jin Ryu (3-1, 3.35) is scheduled to face RHP Matt Cain (0-2, 6.49)
in tonight’s nale.
ANOTHER WALK-OFF… The first two games of this series have resulted in walk-off home runs for the Giants…prior this, the last time the Giants hit walk-off home runs in consecutive games was July 24-25, 2003…Barry Bonds hit a walk-off HR to beat the D-backs and then Pedro Feliz hit one the next night against the Padres.

ANGEL PAGAN…Left last night’s game after the 5th inning with a right hamstring strain…is listed as day-to-day.
FRANCISCO PEGUERO… Made his season debut last night and went 1-for-2 with a double, stolen base and run scored.
ANDRES TORRES… Snapped a 14 at-bat hitless streak last night with a solo home run in the 5th.
PABLO SANDOVAL… Leads the NL with a .515 avg. (17-for-33) with runners in scoring position.
BREAK OUT THE BROOMS…Five of the Giants nine series this season have resulted in a sweep (SF has swept three teams)…the Giants swept the Dodgers twice last season (June 25-27 at AT&T Park and Aug. 20-22 at Dodger Stadium).

The Dominican Republic beat the Netherlands tonight 4-1. The Dominican team scored all four runs in the fifth inning and secured their position in the Championship game against Puerto Rico tomorrow at 5 pm.
