For the 3rd time in franchise history the Giants took a 3-0 lead in the World Series – in 1922 the Giants defeated the New York Yankees in 5 games, and they beat the Cleveland Indians in 4 games in 1954. In 2012, with Matt Cain pitching and Buster Posey batting another World Series Championship was just a few short hours away.

- Played college baseball at Louisiana State University under legendary coach Skip Bertman…helped lead Tigers to 2000 NCAA College World Series Championship, in which he scored winning run via walk-off single
by Brad Cresse. - Also played with current Giant Mike Fontenot on that team and was named to College World Series all- Tournament team.
- Is co-founder of Hardt of Champions athletic complex in Louisiana where goal of complex is to raise money for families and children who are struggling, performing free clinic for underprivileged children once a year with other MLB players.
