A Strong September Start

Over the last 3 seasons, the Giants have posted the best winning percentage among all Major League teams in the season’s final month, going 51-27 (.654) and are continuing the tradition in 2013 by winning the first game of September 8-2.

Where’s The Ark?

It got a little wet in Cincinnati tonight.  Both teams tried to play through it, but with the field, dugouts and clubhouse tunnel flooding 6 innings was the best that could be done.

April In Chicago

The cold and rain didn’t bother Nick Noonan, or the rest of the Giants this afternoon.  After a rocky start the Giants came back and beat the Chicago Cubs 7-6.

Here’s the important information from today:

  • 16 Games to go
  • Giants 2 – D’backs 10
  • Cardinals 5 – Dodgers 2
  • Giants are 7.5 games in first place
  • Our magic number is 9
  • Following today’s game the Giants will not leave California for the rest of the regular season. Tonight we will travel back to San Francisco where we will play our final homestand, a 10-game set against Colorado (4 games, Monday-Thursday), San Diego (3 games next weekend) and Arizona (Sept. 25- 27). We will then go to San Diego (Sept. 28-30) and Los Angeles (Oct. 1-3) for the final road series.
  • Between a couple of triples, a grand slam and an amazing, end-of-the-world-single we have a bunch of photos from this road trip that didn’t make it into the daily blogs – Enjoy!

Welcome Home!
